Chris Smith is the Engineering Director and Founder of Cotronix Ltd. He has an Aeronautics and Aerospace degree, and founded Cotronix in 2011. He has extensive industry experience across the Aerospace, Automotive, and Oil & Gas sectors.

Simon Haworth is our longest serving Principal Software Engineer, joining Cotronix in January 2023. He has over 25 years of embedded hardware and software experience, designing hardware and writing software for ST, TI, Microchip and Renesas processors. He has worked in a number of different sectors, including traffic monitoring, Oil & Gas, EV charging and access control.

Dr Kieran Donovan joined Cotronix as a Software Engineer in October 2023. He has a PhD in System Identification and Control Theory, and a keen interest in algorithms, control theory and signal processing; with a particular focus on the application of these areas to embedded systems.

Chris Owen is our newest recruit as Principal Software Engineer, joining in November 2024; but he brings over 30 years of experience to Cotronix. He has a digital hardware design background, but for the past 21 years has specialised in embedded software, particularly digital signal processing for wireless communication systems.

Anousia Smith is the Business Manager and a Director, and she works on the operational side of Cotronix.  With four young children to manage as well, she thrives on hard work.

Katie Williams joined Cotronix in October 2024, after working previously in the charity sector. She is a part-time Administrator, supporting both the management and engineering teams
